Smoked Jack Daniel’s® Glazed Ham

Ingredients:
Brine Ingredients:10–12 lbs, bone-in Ham, pre-cookedJack Daniel's® WhiskeyMaple Syrup½ cup Jack Daniel’s® Pork Spice Blend, plus 1 tsp, dividedPreparation:Prep the smoker for indirect heat
Directions:
- Score Ham: Carefully run a knife through the fatty side of the ham, slicing diagonal lines just through the fat, creating a criss-cross direction. Transfer the ham to a small baking sheet of aluminum pan.
- Season the Pork: Sprinkle Jack Daniel’s® Pork Rub liberally over the ham.
- Make the Glaze: Whisk the maple syrup and Jack Daniel’s® Whiskey together in a small heat-proof pot. Add the remaining 1 tsp Jack Daniel’s® Pork Rub. Place over the cooler side of the grill and allow to reduce, mixing occasionally.
- Smoke the Ham: Smoke the ham for about 3 hours, basting every 15 to 20 minutes with the juices that render from the pork. The ham is already cooked, you are just adding flavor and re-heating to serve. For the last hour, baste with the maple glaze.
- Serve: Remove the ham from the grill, cover and rest 20 minutes. Slice and serve, brushing with additional maple glaze as desired.
